Canto 31. Rose (Aril 2017)
(fourth incarnation)
The original Commedia's uppermost Paradiso cantos portray an ethereal
realm outside of time and space where the blessed exist close to God.
The original thirty-first canto brings us in sight of a vast, multi-petaled rose
with the Virgin Mary at its heart and where Beatrice is crowned in glory.
The lotus can be viewed as an Eastern equivalent of the rose in Paradiso.
I had a vision of working on a vast "lotus" project between lives here.
