Having previously encountered souls who were excessively
prideful, envious, wrathful, and slothful throughout purgatorio's
first four terraces, the pilgrim now continues his journey
through the fifth terrace where those who succumbed to the
avaricious side of their nature are serving their penance.
Examples of poverty, the counter to greed, are also seen here.
