Canto 28. Innocent (March 2017)
(fourth incarnation)
In canto twenty-eight of the original poem, Dante,
having climbed above purgatory's final purification terrace,
finds himself wandering among trees in an Eden-like
terrestrial paradise the until he reaches the edge of a river
where he sees a beautiful, modest woman among the
flowers and dense trees on the other side of the pure water.
