The Commedia's corresponding canto refers to Dante's ancestors,
so, I am calling this gallery Ancestors, but because we live many lives,
the meaning is complex and can refer not only to current ancestors,
but also to people in earlier lives, to the previous ancestors and cultures
that form the seeds of our current lives and subconscious memories.
We have many other souls as threads in the rich fabric of our existence.
