Faith is spoken of as believing something without actually seeing it
in the twenty-fourth Paradiso canto of the original Commedia.
The existence of miracles is put forth as a reason for believing in what
could exist even though we can not see it with our physical eyes.
I might add that Soul is similar in a way to invisible elementary particles
which can only be seen indirectly by the tracks they leave on film.
